2007 05 31 Rawlins to Hyattville

Today was a driving day, Rawlins to Hyattville. I stopped in Casper to Fedex film to New York. It felt like winter - cold, cold rain, and very windy. I also looked at the Nicolaysen Museum, which is very nice. Casper is not a large city.

On the way to Casper I drove out of relatively warm and brilliantly sunny weather into gloom and rain and wind. See below.

The route I took was US 287 and WY 220 to Casper, WY 20 from Casper to Thermopolis, and 20 from 20 towards Worland. The last part of the drive is up the Wind River Canyon. It's a beautiful drive. The hot springs in Thermopolis are great, and a state park, but I did not have time.

I saw friends in Hyattville, which is a very small town in north central Wyoming. If Jackson is the Ralph Lauren version of Wyoming Hyattville is the real deal.
