Today was an fairly uneventful day. Good progress. Pipe was put in towards the street and well in front of the cut through, well gone and buried dam. This is taken from the street looking towards the dam and the river. I think 4 sections were put in. The next few show this.

Here you can see that our new pipe actually holds water! Oh Boy!
There is a lot of water in the pipe here because they workers are now blocking the stream way back at the street. This lets them work in the trench and keep the pipe relatively dry so they can do concrete work in it. How do they block the stream?

By inserting a huge inflatable plug in the old pipe. They blow this up with the air compressor, and at least last week this would give them a 2-4 hours before the stream would get too high. They would then deflate and remove the plug and the water would flow out.
