This is quite a nice little hike, starting about 20 miles west and a bit north of Charlottesville. It starts at the Sugar Hollow Reservoir and proceeds along the Moormans river. It's a gentle hike, and the fall color was beautiful. The color was a bit past the peak, but that also meant that enough leaves are down that you can see into the forest and can see the ridgelines from the trail.
